We're Back

It has been a few days since we have posted anything.  We have been busy with school, shopping(!!) and entertaining our guest, Christian (who left early this morning).  We were supposed to go to a ballet in the courtyard of the Pitti Palace this evening, but Melissa is not feeling too well.  She has a lot of congestion and a scratchy throat.  She slept most of the day and is feeling a little better now.  We are going to try to go out to dinner soon because she wants to go outside for awhile.  It rained very hard most of the afternoon, but it is clear now and somewhat cooler (and with a lot less humidity).  I haven't taken many "scenery" photos in the last few days, so I will post some more dining photos!!

Lunch at home after class on Monday

We had panini from a great place down the block and then we made a rucola, pear and parmiggiano salad and a platter of fresh fruit.  All of the fruit here is so delicious and tastes like it should (and used to in the U.S.)
